I've just written a web tool for cleaning your del.icio.us tags: it can detect and merge your duplicate tags automatically. Available at http://delicious.isnotworking.com/

I second that idea.

I have always wanted a way to submit multiple websites to del.icio.us and I find myself more often than not, bookmarking a bunch of tabs in the same folder under Firefox which I never get around to categorizing.

There should be a better way to handle multiple links. Maybe an idea would be to have del.icio.us have some sort of backlog system where it would keep your links in "cold storage" and automatically tags them based on other people's tags temporarily until you get around to tagging them yourself.

sounds a little strange, but it will be very difficult to both the things simultaneously, like Making it U*ix like and at the same time managing the ease like in Windows.
well, children also needs to play games, and i dunno if u*ix actually supports them.
As such if parental control and children is stuff is concerned, I can manage it on Windows XP itself..
Just say,
give ur kid a basic account (without the administrative features)...
now block some sites , say porn sites or any sites, there are dozens of softwares for this purpose , for exam:- AllPornGone or there are methods in Windows XP itself to do this.
Install a good firewall, and a good antivirus, XP SP2 itself has a good firewall, antiviruses are dozens to choose from AVG Free to Kaspersky Pro to McAfee Pro and so on...
but yes, I dont know what to do if children manage to install P2P softwares, because then all of these things will fail and they will get acccess to everything....
thanx

This is possible today, if every clothing manufacturer and washing machine maker would incorporate the use of RFID tags.
Each garment would have an embedded RFID tag (these are so small they can be embedded in a page and not noticed), which contains the instructions for washing this garment. Then the washing machine would scan the current laundry load and warn/notify the user of any potential conflicts between the garment's instructions and the currently selected wash cycle. So it's just a matter of getting every clothing manufacturer to sign up for the idea...

And then there's this:

I can see a generation of kids that designate magnitude via "a one puppy" versus "a two puppy"

Great idea. Let me know when it's built. I have a hard to reading articles online. Would prefer to have them printed out in one document.
